Description

Auckland’s Cheshire Architects tackles projects ranging from large-scale urban redevelopment to refined smaller objects like this table lamp—all with the same degree of exacting detail. Fulcrum actually changes form as the shade is rotated with the merest touch, raising the light level from a soft glow to full brightness. Executed with a Japanese paper shade and either a sand-cast bronze or cork base, the the classical form gets a modern refresh with the duality of materials.
